We're Changing How We Do Pricing

At coherence, our mission is to connect people through multiplayer games. We want to make it easier for game development teams (of all sizes) to be able to make their dream multiplayer game.

One of the ways we’ve tried to do this is to make our technology available to any studio that wants it, not just our Studio Partners that use us for co-development of their multiplayer games.

But we heard feedback that the price tiers and number of options were just plain confusing and that it was hard to figure out which one was best for your project.

So, as of today, we’re introducing a new and simplified subscription model:

How It Works

Still free to start for any team, of any size → Just sign up for an account, install the package to your project, and try it. This is the easiest way to evaluate coherence to see if it’s right for your game.

Only pay more when you need more → You only need to choose higher subscription tiers if you ramp up development or your game grows successfully and you need more credits. Don’t overpay for credits you won’t use.

Pay less per credit as you need more → As your game grows and you want more credits to support your player base coherence offers a discount system so that additional credits are less expensive.

DIY + help from coherence → Even if you’re choosing the DIY route with our tech, you might still need extra help with your project. Our premium support isn’t locked in to Studio Partner relationships or Enterprise-level service agreements. Even small studios can ask us about getting our support.

Learn More

Our new Pricing page is live now. It has example cost calculations, an FAQ section for your most burning questions, and a lot of buttons you can press to get started or get in touch.

You can also take a look at the forum thread and leave feedback there.

Try Us Out!

We do a lot of work with our closest studio partners to help them build their multiplayer games. But the technology we’ve built was never meant to be locked off from other studios.

We’re excited to share the update and we hope you’ll give coherence a try. You can always evaluate it now and choose to have us help on your project more in the future.

Or, if you’re ready to talk about how we can help build your next multiplayer game using our coherence tech, send us a message!

Cheers,

The coherence team
